Home Learning Activities- Friday 22nd October

  Friday 22nd October Last day of half-term!! πŸŽ‰ You have achieved your Golden Time! Last coin was put in by Benjamin on Wednesday afternoon.  You all have been working so hard in Class 2 and shown lots of independent learning, kindness and helpfulness. We are very proud of what you have achieved so far and look forward next half-term. English: we would like you write an autumn poem πŸ‚. If you can, go into your garden first and look at the signs of autumn or see if you can find some pictures online (with parents permission). Then once you are feeling inspired write your poem. You may want to do an  Acrostic  poem or try a rhyming poem. You can use these  frames  or write it on a blank piece of paper then decorate around it. Some of you may want to type it on the computer.   Thursday 21st October English - Poetry  πŸ¦‰πŸ± (For pupils who were in school on Wednesday) Today we would like you to write a new version of The Owl and The Pussy Cat poem. Begin by reading the  poem   and then have a look at this  version  where some of the words have been removed. We would like you to spend some time thinking about how you could complete these lines of the poem. Begin by thinking about what they went to sea in, e.g. you could change pea-green boat for a yellow canoe. Use the original poem to help you and try to include some exciting  adjectives .   Wednesday 20 th October English - Poetry  πŸ¦‰πŸ± Today we would like you to edit your poem from yesterday. You can use an edit flap (a piece of paper to go over original writing) like we used for our Lighthouse stories or a purple pencil or pen (any colour will also be ok). Check your spellings, change an adjective or a verb to an even more exciting one and make sure your punctuation is correct. Reading πŸ“š Try to find some time to do some reading.
