  Wednesday 20 th October English - Poetry  πŸ¦‰πŸ± Today we would like you to edit your poem from yesterday. You can use an edit flap (a piece of paper to go over original writing) like we used for our Lighthouse stories or a purple pencil or pen (any colour will also be ok). Check your spellings, change an adjective or a verb to an even more exciting one and make sure your punctuation is correct. Reading πŸ“š Try to find some time to do some reading. Spellings ✎ Try writing your spellings from previous weeks in Rainbow 🌈letters or put them in a sentence. Maths: Flashback 4 Practise your arithmetic skills and complete 3 days of Flashback 4 Day 1 Day 1 answers Day 2 Day 2 answers Day 3 Day 3 answers P.E. Hello Class 2, πŸ™‚ Here are some activities for anyone who is at home this week. We will add some more activities on Wednesday.  Monday 18th October English - Poetry πŸ¦‰πŸ± Today we would like you to have a go at performing part of the poem The Owl and the Pussy Cat by Edward Lear. Begin by watching this  video  recording (which we have looked at at school) and then have a look at the  poem . Choose a verse or a few lines to read. Think about how you could perform the poem - could you use some actions or different voices? Then try performing part of the poem - you might like to do this in front of a mirror or to someone at home.  Reading πŸ“š Try to find some time to do some reading.   Good morning Class 2, We are very much hoping that this will be the last time we need to post your work on the Class blog!! We can't wait to have you back in school on Monday 😊 Please make sure you bring these things in to school with you on Monday: 1) Book bag and any school reading books you have to return 2) Red spelling book 3) Homework diary 4) Green and blue work books that you have been doing your work in 5) Any other work that you have completed  6) A great big smile! Good Morning Class 2,  Happy World Book Day and  Happy Birthday to Etta!  We are looking forward to seeing you on Zoom today and sharing World Book Day costumes if you have decided to dress up! Class 2 Baking

Here is the wonderful carrot cake that Freya made with her grated carrot yesterday that we mentioned in the Zoom meeting this afternoon. Wow, well done Freya! Apparently it tastes pretty good too!  Oliver has also been busy baking carrot cakes too, they look delicious, well done, Oliver!
