Home Learning Activities - Tuesday 9th November

 Hello Class 2, 😊

Here are some home learning activities for anyone who is unable to come into school.

English

WALT: answer questions about a text.

In English we are starting a unit based on The Katie Morag stories. Today we would like you to read this story and then answer these questions.

Reading

Try to find some time to read today.

Spellings

Here are this week's spellings for you to learn:

soil

noise

coin

choice

toilet

boy

toy

enjoy

annoy

joyful

The test will be Monday 15th November. You can also practise them on Spelling Shed.

Maths 🛒🛍

WALT: make number bonds to 100.

At school we have been learning about making number bonds to 100. Today, we would like you to to practise this by playing this shopping game.

RE - Islam 🐜🐪

Today we are going to think about two Islamic stories - The Prophet and the Ants and The Crying Camel. Begin by watching this video and think about what message is given in each of the stories. Then choose one story and have a go at creating a story board to tell the story. Use each of the larger boxes to draw a picture and then write some words in the box underneath to describe what is happening - here is an example (this is for a different story):

You can use this sheet to help or draw your own.

Music 🎵🎵

Today we would like you to complete this lesson from the Oak Academy - understanding pulse.

Extension - if you have time, you could have a go at making up your own song - perhaps you could teach it to a family member?

We hope you have a good day.

Take care,

Mrs Piper and Mrs Mason
