More castles work

Harry enjoyed finding out about Neuschwanstein castle in Germany. Did you know the word for castle in German is 'schloss'? 

Oliver has been working hard finding out about the jobs people did in the castle. 
 He was very excited to find out that his Mummy's family had their very own coat of arms! Here it is!
Thomas found out lots of facts about Hohenzollern castle in Germany. 
 Harry and Thomas remembered that they had been to Sudeley Castle before and had tried on armour. Here they are!


They have also visited some castles in France. Can you find out what the French word is for a castle? 

Oscar chose Sudeley castle to find out about - here are his top ten facts!
Sam has made a Stop Motion Movie with two knights jousting. We love the way he improvised using cows and tin foil! We can't show it to you on here but here a few still shots from the movie.

Harry has also been busy building his own lego castle with a working portcullis, murder holes, crenulations and garderobe. Iron man has been trapped by the portcullis!














Florence used an app called I can Animate to make a jousting video. We can't show it on here but here are a few still shots from the movie. We love the rescue vehicle to help the injured knight and the audience!



 Well done to everyone again this week for all your hard work - we hope you have enjoyed the Castle topic as much as we have!

 Dear Class 2, Hope you're all having a great Half-Term! Sorry we missed our last day together but hopefully you enjoyed a day off as you deserved a treat after working so hard during the week on your assessments. Thank you to Flora who came and got the one lot of snails to look after, I have been in and fed the others and Lilly, you can look after them at Easter. Just to let parents know we will be doing some more practice papers for KS1 SATs in preparation for the SATs in May. It is nothing to worry about and we will talk about this a bit more a parents evening. Some of the homework set will be also used to help the children practice and become more confident when taking the tests. During Healthy Living Week we won't be cooking in Class 2 as we will  just be beginning our DT topic on Healthy Eating and in few weeks time we will be making a pasta salad.
